Provider review / verified 2026-09-05
Packet.ai (Hosted AI) sells on-demand NVIDIA with a developer-grade promise: minutes, not meetings. B200 and friends appear in their own marketing. Our job is to show the published hour and the stock, not the keynote.
Our reading
I want Packet.ai to be true, because the market needs a cloud that boots like a pod and stocks like a neocloud. I rent it that way: SSH, CUDA already there, on-demand. I do not take a ‘no waitlist’ slogan as a law of physics. If the B200 is in the table and in stock, it is one of the most interesting rows we have. If it is a waitlist with good copy, it is everyone else.
Rent it if Developers who want modern NVIDIA without marketplace hosts and without a six-week reserved dance.
Skip it if People who need a 4090 for $0.29. People who need a 256-GPU IB contract yesterday, talk to CoreWeave.
How we compare hoursSame standard, every cloud
Four checks we apply to every provider. This is not a score, and it is not a paid ranking.
On-demand NVIDIA including high-end SKUs as listed. Inference API is a separate product unit.
Often aggressive on B200/H200 vs hyperscalers. Compare to Koyeb, RunPod, Lambda on the same card.
Self-serve GPU VMs plus optional inference API.
Live stock on the SKU you pictured from the homepage. Especially Blackwell.
Catalog listings
Published on-demand hours first. Spot and waitlists are labeled. Confirm the live rate before you provision.
Lambda has culture. RunPod has pods. Packet.ai is betting you will pay to skip both the marketplace and the reserved email chain. If they keep B200/H200 on-demand, that bet is correct. If they slide into waitlists, they become a slogan.
Their inference layer is a different SKU. GPUBeacon’s table is the machine. If you wanted tokens, compare APIs. If you wanted nvidia-smi, stay here.
B200 vs H200 vs 5090 are not interchangeable. VRAM first.
If the image is wrong, you are in the same hell as every other cloud. Confirm CUDA.
RunPod Secure and Lambda, same GPU.
